The roof of Milan’s Duomo in the late afternoon. The statues are on the tips of the pinnacles that rise from the cathedral’s flying buttresses. An extraordinary degree of detailed ornamentation, considering that nobody can get close enough to appreciate it. Milan’s smoggy foggy light is terrific for taking certain sorts of photos.
